Menu Item "Job Description"
This wizard for creating a standardized job description allows you to individually compile the relevant content for a position.
Print
Pressing this button opens the standard dialog for selecting the document output:
Depending on the selection made, the document is displayed for further processing or saved as a PDF.
The output is based on a Microsoft Word document.
Organizational
This tab offers the possibility to manage the following information:
| Line Manager | Free text for entering information about the position's line manager (e.g. reports to Head of Controlling) |
| Functional Manager | Free text for entering information about the position's functional manager (e.g. Chief Controller) |
| Fixed-Term Position | Can be enabled if the position is fixed-term; in that case the end date (e.g. 31/12/20) should also be set. If not enabled, the position is permanent/unlimited. |
| Deputy For | Free text for entering deputy/substitution information |
| Deputized By | Free text for entering deputy/substitution information |
| Job Description Valid | Can be enabled to indicate that the job description is valid. Some positions may still be in the system for historical reasons; this switch can be used to highlight that. |
| Education | Free text for entering information about educational requirements (e.g. banking clerk) |
| Special Skills | Free text for entering information about desired special skills |
| Professional Experience | Free text for entering information about desired professional experience (e.g. project management) |
| Professional Experience (Years) | Free text for entering information about desired years of professional experience (e.g. 5 years) |
Note: The free-text content of these fields is used when printing to populate the corresponding content/fields.
Function Description
This tab offers the possibility to manage the following information:
| Job Objectives | Free text for entering information about job objectives (e.g. annual accounting) |
| Main Tasks | Free text for entering information about the main tasks of the position, e.g. a list: - ABC - XYZ - ... |
| Leadership Tasks | Free text for entering information about the leadership tasks of the position, e.g. a list: - Managing process A - ... |
| Special Tasks | Free text for entering information about the special tasks of the position (e.g. a list) |
| Functional Responsibility | Free text for entering information about functional responsibilities (e.g. a list) |
| Leadership Responsibility | Free text for entering information about leadership responsibility (e.g. a list) |
| Collaboration | Free text for entering information about collaboration (e.g. a list) |
| Further Rules | Free text for entering information about further rules (e.g. a list) |

This tab offers the possibility to manage the following information:
The values shown in the image above are the default values and can be adjusted if needed.
These default field values are to be used in the Microsoft Word document, which is then filled at runtime with the content of the previous tabs.
| File Template | If an individual Microsoft Word document is to be used for this position, the reference to that document can be set here. Attention: The default fields (e.g. {Education}) must be present as text in the document, otherwise "printing" cannot be performed correctly. |
